Shannon Stewart-Ratliff first caught the attention of the modeling world at age seventeen, when she entered and won a Seventeen Magazine modeling contest.
At age eighteen, she was selected as a contestant on Cycle 1 of America’s Next Top Model. She finished as runner up in the competition and gained worldwide notoriety for refusing to pose nude.
Shannon has modeled for Nuj Novakhett, Elle Girl Magazine, Teen Vogue, Sydney Magazine, Six Degrees Magazine and Ford Fusion. She has also appeared on the cover of Arizona Foothills Magazine, and Sound & Vision Magazine.
Her runway shows include Elle Girl presents Dare To Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America’s Next Top Models (2005), Richard Tyler, Alice and Olivia (2006), Sprite Street Couture (2006), Fashion Institute of Technology (2006), Gustavo Arango (2006), Alice Dobson (2006) and Olympus Fashion Week (2006).
In 2005, Shannon was the runner-up for Miss Ohio USA. She placed as semi-finalist in Miss Ohio USA the following year.
Shannon appeared in ANTM Cycle 8, as well as in Cycle 11 as one of CoverGirl’s Top Models in Action. She is now starring in America’s Next Top Model: All Stars, which premiered on September 14, 2011
Throughout her modeling career, Shannon has demonstrated her devout Christian faith, which includes a commitment to never drink or smoke. She remained a virgin until her marriage in 2007 to fellow Christian model Matt Ratliff.
